What Is God’s Will?

Updated: Mar 10

Here, I’ve woven together scripture to support the idea that we can indeed discern His will—guiding how we can walk, talk, speak, vote, and love in alignment with His divine intention.

God’s Will is Good, Pleasing, and Perfect

• Romans 12:2: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.”

Believers, know there is no right nor wrong from God. thus Human life is sacred- and we learn his will is good, it will be judged, but it is good- this we know.

God’s Will is for Our Salvation

• 1 Timothy 2:3-4: “This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”

• 2 Peter 3:9: “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise… Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

Believers, you may not believe it but it is our duty to repent. To think and know we are unworthy, we are dirty, we are sinners in this world, but with the blood of Christ we are saved.

God’s Will Requires Obedience

• Matthew 7:21: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”

• 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18: “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Believers, listen, talk, hear, but speak. Walk and talk like God is here. (With depression, this can be hard).

God’s Will Guides Our Lives

• Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

• Psalm 32:8: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”

Believers, know the difference between law & grace. Understand mercy comes not from man but from the kingdom above. and law is of two worlds, and two worlds will be at brawl.

thus God’s Will is Sovereign

• Ephesians 1:11: “In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.”

Believers, it is no longer Greek verse jew verse gentile verse you. it is simply only christ & the will of God.
