Party in the USA

To stand for human rights:
Like a golden crown, gleaming high,
Look at us, well-versed, empathetic, we’re the best,
Higher ground, we stand in the test!
But wait—
The other side argues,
Hold up—
We are the true party of human rights too,
You say no man is illegal,
But where’s the follow-through?
Humanity is displaying their values like a stage.
Look at me look at me!
A moral posture, an image to wage.
For many, it is not about action, the talk or the walk. It’s simply that others hear the squawk.
While our spirit stands in freedom of tradition’s embrace
In the dignity of choice, and the value of grace,
In the law of the land, in the fight for what’s right! In personal responsibility, in the quiet of the night!
Abortions! Immigration!
We yell and we yell.
If life in America is a right, then wait, what’s the worth of life?
Conservative women, oh, they take that claim.
The ultimate right, with no shame—
They follow through, with their rights in hand.
Standing tall, to make a stand.
Liberals tend to say life’s a right, here in this land.
But the choices? The decisions? That ain’t what they demand.
It’s performative—look at me, I care, but do we live it, or just declare?
So what do we stand in?
Freedom’s the word,
Not just a symbol or a slogan, absurd.
We stand in what’s lasting, what’s deep, what’s true—
And maybe that’s what makes us stand different from you.
